Review Process

At Multivariate Behavioral Research (MBR), we are committed to ensuring a rigorous and transparent peer review process that upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. Each manuscript is carefully evaluated to guarantee that only high-quality, impactful research is published, while providing authors with fair and constructive feedback to strengthen their work.
To help authors and readers understand our approach, the key steps of the review process are outlined below. These stages reflect our commitment to fairness, quality, and scholarly excellence.

Desk Review

Every submission undergoes an initial evaluation by our editorial team to ensure it aligns with the journal’s aims, scope, and basic scholarly standards. At this stage, manuscripts are assessed for originality, clarity, methodological rigor, and adherence to submission guidelines before being considered for external review.

Review by External Reviewers

Submissions that pass the initial screening are assigned to independent subject-matter experts for single-blind peer review. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s scientific quality, methodological soundness, contribution to the field, and relevance to behavioral sciences. This process ensures that feedback is constructive and supports both quality assurance and the professional development of authors.

Manuscript Acceptance or Rejection

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editors reach a final decision on each manuscript. Authors may be invited to make major or minor revisions to address reviewer comments, or in some cases, the submission may be declined. The editorial team ensures that all decisions are fair, transparent, and focused on maintaining the highest academic standards.
